​ Have you ever had one of those days when God felt distant? You pray, but the words don’t seem to come easily. You open your Bible, but nothing seems to jump off the page. You wonder if He’s listening, if He sees you, or if He’s still there at all. If you’ve ever felt that way, you’re not alone. Even some of the greatest people in Scripture experienced seasons of uncertainty, loneliness, grief, and waiting. David cried out to God in the Psalms. Elijah felt exhausted and discouraged. Job suffered deeply and questioned what God was doing. Yet, through every season, God remained faithful. The truth is that God’s presence isn’t determined by our feelings. There will be days when we feel close to Him and days when we don’t. But His promises remain the same. Scripture reminds us: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 Notice that the verse doesn’t say God is close only when we feel joyful, strong, or confident. Lavender & Light was created to be a place of peace in a world that often feels noisy, overwhelming, and uncertain. Here, we’ll open our Bibles, spend time in prayer, ask difficult questions, celebrate victories, walk through struggles, and learn what it means to follow Jesus more closely every day.
